Data protection statement

In accordance with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data. 

The personal data you provide upon registering for the Brain Tumors Meeting 2020 will be stored by and processed under the control of the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, Polish Academy of Sciences, 3 Pasteura Street, 02-093 Warsaw, Poland (further called as The Nencki Institute), which is the organiser of the Brain Tumors Meeting 2020. Your personal data will be used and processed in order to allow your registration for the meeting, to manage your participation and provide you with updated information related to the meeting, to document the meeting with photos and video recordings and to make these publicly available to promote the Brain Tumors Meeting. If you do not wish to be included in the photographs or recordings of the meeting please inform the organisers in advance of the meeting. Optionally, your data may be used to contact you with the information regarding the future Brain Tumors Meetings. Your data will not be disclosed to third parties. Your personal data will be stored for as long as you have an account on the registration system of the Brain Tumors Meeting or until you withdraw your permission to store your data by the Organizing Committee and the Nencki Institute. At any time you may request to the organizers to exercise your rights to access, rectify, erase your personal data or to object to its processing and withdraw your permission. You may also file a complaint with the administrative authority supervising data protection. A dedicated person at the Nencki Institute, who will help you with the issues regarding your personal data processing may be contacted via e-mail at You are not obliged to provide your personal data to the Organizing Committee or the Nencki Institute, however, these are required for your registration and participation in the Brain Tumors Meeting 2020.

You will be listed in the conference materials and abstract book as a Brain Tumors Meeting participant and your name, affiliation and email address will be available to fellow participants.

If you submit an abstract to present at a conference, your abstract and personal data will be shared with a committee of scientists, some of whom will be external to the Nencki Institute, for an evaluation and selection process.

If your abstract will be selected for an oral presentation, your personal data will be processed for the promotion and publication of the event programme via various communication channels (including website and print media).

During the Meeting you may have access to additional community resources in which you may choose to provide personal data. You will not be obliged to do so but if you choose to do so you should be aware that your personal data will be shared with other participants.
